Divine Presence

Nothing could be more intimate than the personal relationship between the individual and that Divine Presence which is the center, source, and the circumference of all being. It is in everything, around everything, through everything and It is everything.

Interconnectedness

I am proud to be a global citizen, integral to life's tapestry. With rich colors and nuances, our threads weave through the fabric of existence. Regardless of circumstances or conditions, I see myself in you and you in me. I honor the sanctity of our interconnectedness, a fine balance between the personal and the collective. Our fates are intertwined, our well-being intricately tied to one another. Just as we breathe the same air, we breathe in each other's joy, pain, and holiness. I am a living legacy blessing the world with my presence. Thank you for the gift of you.

Another Week is Gone

How fleeting life is! Everything in this delicate web of a universe changes from moment to moment.

“Another week is gone.” This is not a morbid reflection. It is good to remind ourselves how quickly life passes, for it throws our activities into the sharpest perspective.

Every day’s first priority is to learn to move closer to Love which lives in the depths of our consciousness.

Life Never Ends

You haven’t yet laughed all that you will laugh.
You haven’t yet met some of your very best friends.
You haven’t yet dreamed all that you will manifest.
All the differences you will make in the world have already begun.

Isn’t it nice to know that life never ends?

The Best Day in the Year

Write it on your heart
that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day
who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.

Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

This new day is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays.

Getting Organized

I’ve been taking some time off from my blog to get organized! Springtime is always a signal for me to clear out the clutter and stop stepping on things that have fallen to the floor and didn’t get picked up. “Papers, papers, papers!”

I always feel better when things are in order around my house and when I have a pretty good idea of where I put the car keys.

Happy Springtime, Everybody!

Time

If you take care of each moment, you will take care of all time.

Ubi Caritas et Amor

I heard this music performed today at the Center for Spiritual Living, Santa Rosa. It was composed in 1960 by Maurice Duruflé (1902-1986). This video is of King's College Choir, Cambridge.

Here is a brief adaptation of the 9th Century Latin text: Where there is charity and love, God is there. Love brings us together into one. Let us rejoice and be pleased. As we are gathered into one body may we be united in mind. May we love each other with a sincere heart.

Be Yourself

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

Original Goodness

The purpose of all spiritual practice is to enable us to return to our native state of being—our core of goodness—not after death but here and now, in an unbroken awareness of the divinity within us and throughout all of creation.
