Everything is a Miracle

The flight of the dragonfly, the transformation of the caterpillar, the trees clothing themselves in green verdure, the bough on which the grey starling sits as it whispers to my soul, the ant wriggling in the sand--everything is a miracle. A power greater than I rules the world. I nod approval and marvel at the ever-changing form of changeless Nature.

May Peace Be Unto All

Adorable presence,
Thou who art within and without, above and below and all around,

Thou who art interpenetrating every cell of my being,

Thou art the eye of my eyes,

The ear of my ears
,
The heart of my heart,

The mind of my mind,

The breath of my breath,

The life of my life,

The soul of my soul.

Bless us, dear God, to be aware of thy presence in the East and the West, in the North and the South.

May peace and goodwill abide among individuals, communities, and nations.

This is my earnest prayer.

May peace be unto all!

In Harmony

The Tao never does anything,
yet through it all things are done.

If powerful men and women
could center themselves in it,
the whole world would be transformed
by itself, in its natural rhythms.
People would be content
with their simple, everyday lives,
in harmony, and free of desire.

When there is no desire,
all things are at peace.

Freedom and Joy

I know that freedom and joy are mine today.
Freedom and joy spontaneously express themselves in my experience.

There is nothing in me that can obstruct them.

Whatever I ought to know I shall know.

Whatever I ought to do I shall do.

Whatever belongs to me will come to me.

I recognize my good and I accept it.

With joy I enter into the fulfillment of life.
