Life is Good
I have the power to choose my thoughts here and now. I choose to be free from the past, from the effects of my story, and from any event that might appear to separate me from my good. These effects have no power over me. Here and now, I affirm my life is good. I release any troubles or worries for they are merely products of incorrect thinking. I am blessed with wonderful people and uplifting events in my life. My heart is full of appreciation. ~

Beauty
Beauty is all around us--not just in art museums or luxury goods, but in a flower, a song, an old photograph, or the sound of falling rain. In our day-to-day lives, we often push aside our need for beauty, thinking of it as something too rare to make a regular part of our days, an "extra" that's not worth our time. But beauty is a genuine human need that keeps us healthy and happy. We cannot live full and satisfying lives without beauty--and we can change our existences completely by truly allowing beauty into our lives.Piero Ferrucci in

I Love Coincidences
I took the photo accompanying my January 22 blog post (detail above right) in a small village in southern India. It shows a mother and her child ascending the stairs from a boat they used to cross the river. Later in the morning our tour group visited a pre-school to say hello to the children. I took some pictures of the youngsters at the school and used one of those pictures (detail above left) to accompany my January 30 blog post. I noticed today for the first time that the same child is in both pictures!I love coincidences whether I realize them at the instant they occur or later on as I discover them by remembering or looking back.

Good Will
May all beings be filled with joy and peace.May all beings everywhere,
The strong and the weak,
The great and the small,
.
The mean and the powerful,
The short and the long,
The subtle and the gross:
.
May all beings everywhere,
Seen and unseen,
Dwelling far off or nearby,
Being or waiting to become:
May all be filled with lasting joy.
.
Let no one deceive another.
Let no one anywhere despise another.
Let no one, out of anger or resentment,
Wish suffering on anyone at all.
.
Just as a mother with her own life
Protects her child, her only child, from harm,
So within yourself let grow
A boundless love for all creatures.
.
Let your love flow outward through the universe,
To its height, its depth, its broad extent,
A limitless love, without hatred or enmity.
.
Then, as you stand or walk,
Sit or lie down,
As long as you are awake,
Strive for this with a one-pointed mind;
Your life will bring heaven to earth.

Born of Eternal Day
Child of All Good, I am born of Eternal Day.There is no evening of the soul, for it shall live forever.
It is deathless and perfect, complete and one with the Everlasting.
No thought of tomorrow can disturb the calm of those
who know that life is one Eternal Day.
No fear can enter where Love reigns,
and reason keeps faith with hope.
The thoughts of the tomorrows and the yesterdays are swallowed up in the great realization of the Perfect Here and the Complete Now.
Today I completely acccept my wholeness.
