Our little group had a fantastic overview of Thimphu today.
National museum, national library, artisan schools, and several temples.
I wonder how long this young artist, wearing his North Face down jacket, will take completing this religious painting?
Our guide told us that in Bhutan whenever one prays using prayer beads, a prayer wheel, chanting, or meditating, one is always praying for others and not for oneself.
In this image you can see that Bhutan is quite hilly. Even though this is the capital city, there is not enough flat land for an airport. I did see a heliport,though.
