In My Garden: Hydrangea

Hydrangea, also known as Hortensia, is a genus of about 70 to 75 species of flowering plants native to southern and eastern Asia as well as North and South America. The greatest species diversity is in eastern Asia, notably China, Japan, and Korea. The species in my garden is commonly called “Mophead” because the flowers resemble the pom-pom shape of the head of an old-fashioned rag mop.
