Images of birds on buildings have been around for a very long time. There are birds on the remains of ancient Egyptian and Greek buildings. In New York City the corners of the 61st floor of the Chrysler Building are graced with stainless steel eagles which are giant replicas of the 1929 Chrysler automobile hood ornaments.A bird silhouette on a building in Tokyo (above) caught my eye as I was about to cross the street to get a Mos Burger at one of their fast food locations.
